Breaker Provision
A compartment that does not contain a breaker, but is equipped with all necessary equipment to receive a breaker of a specified rating and containing a specified list of accessories. No conversion work will be required to install the breaker. A shutdown may be required to make power and/or control connections, depending on other factors specific to the switchgear layout.
Breaker space
A compartment that does not contain a breaker, but may be converted for use as breaker cell of a specified rating in the future. There is riser bus behind the compartment, complete with line (top) stabs. Parts will be required to perform the conversion along with load (bottom) extensions, in addition to the breaker itself. No modifications to the riser bus will be required, however the conversion work will require a shutdown to provide a degree of safety during certain parts of the conversion work and during installation of power and/or control connections.
Note: A Breaker space is distinct from a Blank
A blank is a compartment that does not contain a breaker or any front door mounted components. It will not be able to be converted to a breaker cell, or be used for meter or instrument space. A breaker space is convertible to a breaker.
Breaker Storage Compartment includes Breaker
This is a compartment that contains a set of drawout rails and a front door. It will hold a spare breaker of a designated frame size, and the overhead breaker lifter can be used to move a breaker in or out of the compartment. There are no bus or control connections. It will not be possible to convert it to an active breaker cell in the future. A spare breaker will be ordered and will be shipped in this compartment.
Breaker Storage Compartment without Breaker
This is a compartment that contains a set of drawout rails and a front door. It will hold a spare breaker of a designated frame size, and the overhead breaker lifter can be used to move a breaker in or out of the compartment. There are no bus or control connections. It will not be possible to convert it to an active breaker cell in the future. No breaker is ordered.
Eaton PLC - Standard
Standard ELC based control scheme with NO HMI. Timers are going to be relay based external to the PLC. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected for Transfer Type a synch check relay will be require.
Eaton PLC - Custom
Standard ELC based control scheme with NO HMI and minor modification to the standard ELC based scheme. Timers are going to be relay based external to the PLC. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected for Transfer Type a synch check relay will be required.
Eaton PLC w/Touchscreen - Standard
Standard ELC based control scheme with a 15" XP 503 XP-503 panel PC HMI installed on gear. All timer settings are modified through the HMI. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If
closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected a synch check relay will be required.
Eaton PLC w/Touchscreen - Custom
Standard ELC based control scheme with a 15" XP-503 panel PC HMI installed on gear and minor modification to the standard ELC based scheme. All timer settings are modified through the HMI. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected a synch check relay will be required.
Eaton PLC w/Dashboard - Standard
Standard ELC based control scheme with a 15" XP-503 panel PC HMI installed on gear. In addition to the transfer scheme, communication to all PXR 20, PXR25, 520MC, and 1150 trip units as well as all Eaton meters will be provided. Using this connection trip unit and meter data will be displayed on the dashboard for centralized monitoring. All timer settings are modified through the HMI. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected a synch check relay will be required.
Eaton PLC w/ Dashboard and a Remote Dashboard - Standard
Standard ELC based control scheme with a 15" XP-503 panel PC HMI installed on gear. In addition to the transfer scheme, communication to all PXR 20, PXR25, 520MC, and 1150 trip units as well as all Eaton meters will be provided. Using this connection trip unit and meter data will be displayed on the 15" XP-503 for centralized monitoring. All the information and functionality with in the 15" XP-503 will be duplicated on a 21" XP-503 for remote operation and monitoring. All timer settings are modified through the HMI. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected a synch check relay will be required.
Eaton PLC w/Touchscreen and a Remote Dashboard - Standard
Standard ELC based control scheme with a 15" XP-503 panel PC HMI installed on gear. All timer settings are modified through the HMI. Voltage sensing and Transfer Type must be selected independently. If closed transition or Both (open and Closed) is selected a synch check relay will be required. The remote Dashboard will be a wall mount 21” XP-503 with all the functionality of the local 15" XP-503 panel PC HMI. But in addition to the transfer scheme, communication to all PXR 20, PXR25, 520MC, and 1150 trip units as well as all Eaton meters will be provided. Using this connection trip unit and meter data will be displayed on the wall mount 21" XP-503 for centralized monitoring.
Hard wired Control Relay Based
Standard relay-based control scheme will be provided. No PLC and no HMI will be provided.
Transfer interlocking scheme NOT supplied by factory
The Low Voltage Assemblies product line will not be supplying the automatic transfer schematic for this order.
