Protection:

·         Fusible – For Pow-R-Way III, the overcurrent protection is a fusible switch with fuse options available for any application. The KAIC rating of the Pow-R-Way III plug will match the rating of the fuse. For Pow-R-Flex, Eaton’s CCP fusible switch and CubeFuse are utilized and the short circuit rating of the plug will match that of the duct on which it is installed.

·         Circuit Breaker – For Pow-R-Way III, several of Eaton’s series C circuit breaker options are available. For Pow-R-Flex receptacle plugs, the GHC breaker is utilized in our mini plug design and the Series C “F” frame breaker is utilized in our traditional Pow-R-Flex bus plugs. The KAIC rating of the Pow-R-Flex plug is dependent on the breaker being utilized and the voltage at which it is applied.

Receptacle Enclosure Type:

·         Single – A single receptacle plug has just one overcurrent protective device. Single Pow-R-Flex receptacle plugs utilize our GHC breaker or CCP fusible switch in our mini plug design.  The “F” frame breaker is also available in our traditional receptacle plugs.

·         Double – A double receptacle plug has two overcurrent protective devices. Double Pow-R-Flex receptacle plugs utilize our GHC breaker or CCP fusible switch in our mini plug design.  The “F” frame breaker is also available in our traditional receptacle plugs.

·         Quad – A quad receptacle plug has four overcurrent protective devices. The mini plug design is not available for quad receptacle plugs. Therefore, for Pow-R-Flex, the “F” frame breaker is the only available selection in our traditional receptacle plug offering.

Breaker Frame:

·         Use this selection to select the breaker style of your plug. Your selections on the Receptacle Units tab should be maintained as you switch from one breaker style to another. For Pow-R-Flex, receptacle plugs with a GHC circuit breaker utilize our mini plug enclosure.

Fuse Type:

·         Use this selection to select the fuse type of your plug. For Pow-R-Flex, all fusible receptacle plugs utilize a CCP fusible switch within our mini plug enclosure.  The available fuse types are fast acting, time delay, and time delay w/ blown fuse indication.

Receptacle Units Tab:

Phase and Wire:

·         This selection differentiates between plugs with single phase and three phase power. It also shows the number of phase and neutral wires to be included.

Amperes:

·         This ampere selection dictates the ampere rating of the plug. Please note that the 16 and 32 amp selections are for IEC voltages and the 50 amp selection is for California Standard plugs.

Unit KAIC Rating:

·         This field shows the max KAIC rating of this plug as an assembled unit. For receptacle plugs using breaker technology, this will be determined by the breaker type and the voltage at which it is applied.  For receptacle plugs using the CCP switch, the KAIC rating will be that of the busway on which it is installed.
