Sync a Bid Manager Job to a Customer 360 Opportunity
For many businesses within Eaton, Bid Manager creates configuration and quotation packages and C360 tracks opportunities. As much of the same information is needed for both functions, it is possible to sync a with a Bid Manager Job with a C360 Opportunity, and vice versa. This job aid describes the process starting with a Bid Manager Job and syncing to an Opportunity in C360. To sync an existing Opportunity to a new Bid Manager Job, refer here.
Bid Manager Jobs can contain more than one quote or bill of material (Alternates, or Alts). Jobs as a whole (all alternates) are not synced with Customer 360 but only the single “Reporting Alternate” is synced. Job properties that follow the reporting alternate also sync.

Step 1: Open and Sync an Existing Job in Bid Manager
1. From the Bid Manager Home Screen, click and open the My Jobs view.
2. In the My Jobs view, click on a job tile to open a job. (See also: Create a Job, or Open an Existing Job)
3. Click an alternate in the Overview tab of the Job. When the alternate is open, the Sync with C360 button will become active.
4. Check the tabs on the left side of the screen to see any missing fields. Be aware that C360 has different requirements than Bid Manager, so it may be necessary to populate some fields that are not otherwise required. See the Field Comparison Guide for more information.
5. In the Home top tab of Buttons, Click on the sync with C360 button.
6. If any required fields for sync are missing information, Bid Manager will display a pop up box with the missing fields listed. These are hyperlinked to the missing fields. Simply click on the text of the message, and you will be taken to the field.
Step 2: Check Synchronization Status
1. While the job is open, click the Synchronization Activity tab on the left side to view the status.
2. If an error message appears, view the Error Messages Job Aid for further explanation.
Bid Manager Job and Customer 360 Opportunity Ownership
Any person who has full sharing permission on a Bid Manager job can use the sync button from Bid Manager to sync with the associated Customer 360 opportunity. However, only the Primary team member in the Eaton Team field for the opportunity can sync from Customer 360 to Bid Manager. The opportunity will default to show the Bid Manager job owner as the primary salesperson in Customer 360. However, if the job is reassigned to another person in Bid Manager, the primary Eaton Team member must be changed manually in Customer 360.
Synchronizing Job and Opportunity Products
Jobs and Opportunities can be synchronized to reflect the same information, and that information can generally be updated from either system. Products, however, will only synchronize from Bid Manager to C360, and not vice versa. If Opportunity Products are entered for a synced Opportunity, they will be deleted upon synchronization from Bid Manager, and replaced with the latest information from the job.
